AceShowbiz – Lesley Murphy is not forgetting the people who have helped fiance Alex Kavanagh stage his beach proposal. On Sunday evening, February 23, the contestant of “The Bachelor” season 17 uploaded a video capturing the special moment, and expressed her gratitude toward the drone pilots and photographers.
Sharing the three-minute video on Instagram, the 32-year-old first detailed on how her love story with Kavanagh unraveled. “When I was little, I always assumed I’d be married with kids before the end of my 20s,” she began. “Well that obviously didn’t happen…and I’m so thankful for how my love story played out.”
“It wasn’t quick or painless or graceful (as many of y’all witnessed), but nothing good comes easy,” she continued. “It took all the necessary steps of my life to get here…on this beach at sunset with this guy, a drone and model plane flying over my head and a diamond ring dangling dangerously above millions of tiny grains of sand!”
Calling Kavanagh “the love of all of my lives,” the TV personality went on to acknowledge others who have helped make the sweet moment last. She wrote, “Many thanks to all the droners and photographers who captured this day forever!” She went on to add, “February 2020, I’ll never forget you.”
The proposal video itself spilled on how Murphy and Kavanagh met for the first time. Kicking off with “Chapter 1” appearing on the screen, it continued to share, “Once upon a time a travel blogger needed her drone fixed.” When drone pilot Kavanagh was not able to repair hers, he let her borrow his in order to see her again.
The footage went on to share photos from their first date and their vacations to 24 countries, before cutting to Kavanagh’s proposal preparation. At one point, Kavanagh could be seen putting Murphy’s engagement ring inside a box attached to a miniature United airplane. He then gave instruction on when to launch the drones.
Murphy and Kavanagh got engaged on February 4 in Manhattan Beach, California. One day after the proposal, the ex-girlfriend of Dean Unglert broke the happy news via an Instagram post. “2/4/2, a day I’ll never forget,” she wrote along with photos capturing the special moment.
