AceShowbiz – Drake is coronavirus free despite people’s concern following his interaction with Kevin Durant, who tested positive for COVID-19. The Canadian rapper gave an update on his health while going on Instagram Live with his father Dennis Graham.
During the hilarious conversation, the singer/actor, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, revealed the result of his test. “You know I had to do a test the other day,” he said in the video. Assuring fans that he’s in good health, he added, “…Yeah, I had to get tested. But it came back negative though.”
The “In My Feelings” hitmaker went on describing the “uncomfortable” procedure to test for the virus. “That test was uncomfortable though,” he shared. “They put that Q-tip all the way inside your thoughts and s**t.”
His father Dennis, meanwhile, said he was convinced that he didn’t have the virus, to which Drake jokingly replied, “You drink too much Hennessy to get corona anyway.”
On a serious note, the Toronto-born star commented on how serious the situation is amid the coronavirus outbreak. “It’s definitely wild times,” he noted. “It is what it is. It’s almost like we hit a pause button in the world but everybody keeps moving.”
Drake entered self-isolation earlier this month after he partied with Kevin, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 17. The two were spotted hanging out at West Hollywood hotspot Nice Guy a week before the athlete’s positive diagnosis.
Sharing a picture from their night out, the “Hotline Bling” rapper ironically referenced death in the accompanying caption. He wrote, “life is a race and the grim reaper catches up…till then glasses up (sic).”
After he tested positive for the disease, Kevin told The Atlantic that he was feeling fine and had not experienced any of the flu-like symptoms of COVID-19, but urged fans and followers to stay safe amid the ongoing health crisis. “Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine. We’re going to get through this,” said the NBA star.
