Naomi Campbell Takes Safety to Next Level With Full Hazmat Suit Amid Coronavirus Fears
The British model is the latest celebrity who takes preventive measure amid the worldwide health crisis, sharing photos of her rocking a hazmat suit beneath her chic camel cape while at an airport.

AceShowbiz – Naomi Campbell isn’t risking her health for the sake of style. Despite her reputation as a world class supermodel, the British beauty opted to wear a full hazmat suit while hitting LAX amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The “I Feel Pretty” star took the extra precautions while boarding a flight from Los Angeles to New York City on Tuesday, March 10. She completed the protective gear with an N95 mask, protective glasses and a pair of pink latex gloves.
Naomi, who is a known germaphobe even before the coronavirus outbreak, also wore a pair of black-and-while sneakers. Not completely abandoning her sense for fashion, she put a chic camel cape on top of her hazmat suit.
The 49-year-old took to her Instagram page to share photos of her wearing the hazmat suit. “Safety First NEXT LEVEL,” she captioned the photos. She additionally teased that a full video documenting her trip that day would be coming soon on her YouTube channel.
Naomi made headlines last year after showing her airport routine in a YouTube video. She demonstrated how she uses antibacterial wipes to sanitize her seat, tray table, TV screen, headrest, overhead bins and anything else within reach once she hops on a plane. She also covers her seat with a blanket and wears a surgical mask during the flight.
“This is what I do on every plane I get on,” she declared. “I do not care what people think of me. It’s my health and it makes me feel better.” She went on explaining the need to do the routine, “No matter what plane you take, private or commercial, as the plane descends, people start coughing and sneezing, and the coughing and sneezing makes me … I just can’t.”
“So this is my protection from people’s coughing and sneezing,” she added. “I mean, as much as I travel, I should get sick so much more with colds and stuff and I’m blessed that I don’t, and I really think that this helps me, my little routine.”
