Shaquille O’Neal Cracks People Up With ‘Lysol Challenge’ Video
Taking the precautions act against coronavirus to another level, the former Los Angeles Lakers player posts a video of him spraying himself with the disinfectant product while taking on the challenge.

AceShowbiz – Shaquille O’Neal is bringing in laughter amid frenzy caused by coronavirus crisis. On Tuesday, March 17, the retired Los Angeles Lakers star shared on social media a hilarious “Lysol Challenge” video that captured him taking the precautions act against the pandemic to a whole new level.
In the Instagram clip, the 48-year-old could be seen sitting in front of a table with a bottle of the disinfectant in his hand. As music played in the background, he turned to face the camera with a big grin on his face. He proceeded to spray the product all over his body and head, and ended up coughing. “Thanks LYSOL. Everybody be safe love y’all #LYSOLCHALLENGE,” he captioned the video.
Shaq’s bid succeeded in cracking up others. Kickboxer James “The Beast” Wilson and Pennsylvania rapper Gillie Da Kid both responded with multiple rolling-on-the-floor-laughing and face-with-tears-of-joy emojis. Others jokingly wrote back such comments as, “Corona virus is scared of shaq”, “You’re a dangerous man shaq!!” and “Must be day 3 of quarantine.”

Before Shaq offered a lighthearted take on the crisis, NBA players Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell confirmed they had tested positive for the virus. On February 12, Rudy took to his Instagram account to share how he has “gone through so many emotions since learning of my diagnosis…mostly fear, anxiety, and embarrassment.” Still, he assured fans he is “under great care and will fully recover.”
Donovan, on the other hand, expressed his gratitude toward “everyone who has been reaching out since hearing the news about my positive test.” He detailed, “We are all learning more about the seriousness of this situation and hopefully people can continue to educate themselves and realize that they need to behave responsibly both for their own health and for the well being of those around them.”
In light of their diagnosis, NBA announced they will be “suspending game play following the conclusion of tonight’s schedule of games until further notice.” Through a statement, they noted, “The NBA will use this hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic.”
