AceShowbiz – Singer Cady Groves has passed away at the age of 30. In a social media post, her brother Cody Groves has confirmed the news of the “This Little Girl” singer’s passing over the weekend.
“I hate that I even have to do this, but apparently the world and internet is a cluster of twisted misinformation,” Cody wrote in his message on Twitter. “In my original post I had stated we had no information to try and prevent that, but to expel rumors I will provide an update. The medical examiner has completed autopsy and there was no indication of foul play or self harm. Simply put, Cady Groves died of natural causes.”
Cody went on explaining that the late artist “had some medical problems last fall and our best guess at this point until further testing is complete is that they had resurfaced.” He then asked people to “please respect her name and family before sharing information that did not come directly from here.”
Concluding his message, Cody added, “Cady was really looking forward to the next few months and release of her new album. Our latest in depth conversation (since most were witty banter) was her sending me songs to critique and give feedback on.”
Cady Groves’ brother clarified on the singer’s death.
Prior to posting the clarification, Cody shared the heartbreaking news on the blue bird app. “@cadygroves has left this world,” Cody said. “Details are limited right now but family is trying to get them and will keep people updated. Rest In Peace little sis. Hope you’re reunited with @kellydgroves and Casey.”
It was also said the Groves family previously lost Cady’s brothers, Casey and Kelly. The two passed away in 2007 and 2014, respectively.
Cady’s most recent music was “Oil and Water”, which was released in 2017. Her credits also included “A Month of Sundays” (2009), “The Life of a Pirate” (2010), “This Little Girl” (2012) and “Dreams” (2015).
