AceShowbiz – Stone Cold Steve Austin won’t risk his health for fan’s admiration. The WWE legend has told off an anti-mask person who called him out for wearing a mask as a protective gear amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
On Wednesday, May 13, the 55-year-old posted on his Instagram page a photo of him wearing a custom mask that displayed the logo for University of Alabama football, while sitting in his car. Seemingly proud of it, he wrote in the caption, “Running errands on the Mean Streets of LA.”
He added that a “friend of mine made me this custom @alabamafbl mask. The mask is cool but she made it a little too small. So it cuts off the circulation to my ears. My ears are actually crimson.” He went on joking, “Since she is a @clemsonfb fan, I figured she ribbed me on purpose.”
Wearing a mask is a must for L.A. residents when they visit any retail business, take mass transit, or exercise outside in their neighborhood or on a trail, golf course or beach. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti implored residents earlier this week to “bring your mask with you whenever you leave your home” because taking such precautions now will “help us get more freedoms.”
One person, however, seemingly disregards the order and criticized Steve for wearing the mask, which he claimed ruins Steve’s “reputation.” He wrote below Steve’s photo, “The mask goes against your reputation!” Likening the order to “communism,” he urged the former professional wrestler to “rebel” against it, adding, “Stay strong, be a rebel, and do not conform! Cool mask, but strip off the communism.”
But Steve refused to conform to his fan’s wish, writing back, “Shut up dude.” His reply received a lot of positive feedback from other users, who liked his comment.
Steve also answered another fan who asked why he was wearing the mask in his car when he was alone. “Because my next errand was a block away..,” he explained, hinting that he wouldn’t bother to take it off only to put it on just a few minutes later.
