Through an Instagram post, Melissa Brim makes sure everyone knows that she’ll always support her daughter amid the legal battle after she allegedly stabbed boyfriend NBA YoungBoy’s baby mama.

AceShowbizIyanna Mayweather a.k.a. YaYa Mayweather was spotted in an outing for the first time after being arrested for assault. In a new video that her mom Melissa Brim uploaded on Instagram, the daughter of Floyd Mayweather, Jr. was seen walking next to her.

The video featured YaYa rocking a red leather jacket and black pants. She could be seen walking hand-in-hand with her mom, who opted for a black-and-white outfit that day. The clip was too short to even show their face.

Through the post, Melissa made sure that everyone knew that she’d always support her daughter amid the legal battle after she allegedly stabbed boyfriend YoungBoy Never Broke Again‘s (NBA YoungBoy) baby mama. “Got your back FOREVER,” so Melissa captioned the video.

However, people focused more on the way YaYa walked in the video. “Why she walking like that,” one fan questioned. “LMFAOOO SHE A LIL WOBBLY IN THEM HEELS,” another user noted. “yaya walks like a cowboy,” another comment read.

Meanwhile, some others criticized Melissa for not being a good mom for YaYa. “stop being her friend and be her MOM!!!” someone urged Melissa. Another fan alluded that if she/he was involved in an assault just like YaYa, her/his mom “would’ve disowned me.” Another person called the mom and daughter duo “Two idoits [sic].”

This arrives after a new report started YaYa’s facing a severe punishment after the alleged stabbing incident. A serious felony in the state of Texas, the crime could carry out a maximum of 99 years in state prison and a $10,000 fine if YaYa is convicted. The 19-year-old’s past criminal record will be taken into account in determining her sentence if there’s any.

YaYa, however, has hired famed attorney Kurt Schaffer, who once successfully defended Rap-A-Lot Records founder J. Prince, to represent her in the case. The attorney has confirmed that YaYa plans to plead not guilty when she appears in court in August.
